UKFMC Waste Management Services is committed to reducing the impact of waste on the environment. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we have implemented a Zero-to-Landfill policy. This policy outlines our commitment to ensuring that no waste is sent to landfill sites. Instead, we aim to reduce, reuse, and recycle as much waste as possible.
Our Zero-to-Landfill policy includes the following principles:
We aim to reduce waste generation wherever possible by encouraging our clients to adopt sustainable practices and reduce unnecessary waste.
We ensure that all waste is segregated correctly to maximise the amount of waste that can be recycled or reused.
We aim to recycle or reuse as much waste as possible, and we work with our clients to identify opportunities for waste reduction and recycling.
We use composting as a method of waste disposal for organic waste, such as food waste and garden waste. Composting not only reduces waste but also produces a valuable resource that can be used to improve soil quality.
We use energy recovery technologies, such as anaerobic digestion and gasification, to recover energy from waste that cannot be recycled or composted.
Any waste that cannot be recycled, composted, or used for energy recovery is disposed of in a responsible manner, ensuring that it has a minimal impact on the environment.
